I’d been working with rusty metal, and used a leaf blower to clean things up. The next morning around 4am my left eye was hurting so bad it woke me up. I went to the bathroom sink to irrigate thinking it was an eyelash. Upon irration I experienced a searing burning pain so uncomfortable, I could not relieve it open or closed. I called Griffin Optimetric when they opened and they made certain to fit me in that morning.
I was treated by Dr. Callister who was kind, knowledgeable and empathic. He rendered immediate relief bh numbing my eye temporarily. I could not find the source of tge irritation bug prescribed an optic antibiotic and irrigating drops. Dr. Callister was able to see me again the following day at at Griffin Optometric in Laguna Niguel.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Callister and the Griiffin Optomertric Team. I honestly felt I was losi g my eyesight to add lme kind of infection until Dr. Callister treated me at very short notice. He is a kind and experienced Optometrist who I will recommend to family and friends. Thank you Dr. Callister and the Griffin Optometry team!! You Rock !

Dr. Bradley Callister, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in 2017. Before pursuing optometry, Dr. Brad earned his degree in visual arts from Brigham Young University, where he developed a unique appreciation for the role vision plays in how we experience and interact with the world around us.
During his optometric training, Dr. Brad completed two externship programs that expanded his expertise in comprehensive eye care. His first externship focused on primary care at a private practice in Encinitas, where he gained valuable experience providing routine eye care, diagnosing vision conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans. He later completed an externship at a refractive surgical center in La Jolla, specializing in LASIK and cataract extraction surgeries, giving him additional insight into advanced surgical vision correction options.
Dr. Brad is passionate about all aspects of vision care and believes every patient deserves personalized attention and solutions tailored to their unique needs. Whether helping patients maintain healthy eyes, improve their vision, or find eyewear that complements their lifestyle, he strives to make every visit comfortable, informative, and positive.
Outside of the office, Dr. Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Allie, and their four energetic children. When he is not caring for patients, you can often find him making memories with his family at the park, pool, or beach.
